The fittings are made from thick-walled stainless steel produced by the Wegs factory, formed by a hydroforming machine to ensure the inner walls of the fittings are smooth and the wall thickness is uniform. This forming technology guarantees that Wegs products are safer and more durable for long-term use. The fittings undergo a bright annealing process to effectively eliminate stress corrosion that may occur during processing and restore the austenitic stainless steel microstructure. They are used to connect/butt weld pipes of the same nominal diameter at both ends.
